Lech - Rudalpe

__NO_NAME__
Winter hiking

The winter wonderland Lech Zürs am Arlberg is famous for its beautiful ski slopes & dreamlike deep snow runs. But the winter hiking routes are also popular attractions.

Welcome to the winter wonderland Lech Zürs am Arlberg. Especially from the Rudalpe you can enjoy a magical winter view of the snow-covered Omeshorn, the mountains in Zürs & the winterly Lech with its beautiful church. For all non-skiers, a wonderful winter hiking trail leads from Lech to Rudalpe and on to Oberlech. The wonderful view & a stop at the Rudalpe or at one of the many restaurants in Oberlech compensates for the steep ascent. We recommend the winter hiking trails in the Zugertal or directly in Oberlech for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, as the trail is quite challenging, especially in soft snow.

Directions

From the centre of Lech, you first head in the direction of Dorfbrunnen. From here follow the signs to Zug / Rudalpe and cross the Lech towards Hotel Schranz. With the Rudalpe firmly in sight, you finally leave the road and take the beautiful but steep winter hiking trail uphill. This leads in several serpentines uphill to Rudalpe, which is ideal for a stopover. Afterwards it goes either over the same way down into the valley, or one crosses the runway, in order to arrive at the winter footpath to Oberlech. From Oberlech you can take the local bus or gondola down to the valley.

Suggestions

A stop at the Rudalpe with a view of the Omeshorn is simply wonderful. Don't forget to make a reservation!
