Oberlech in Lech am Arlberg has become a meeting place for all those interested in art and culture.

A visit to the newly opened walk-in art installation "Skyspace" by James Turrell is an absolute highlight of a winter holiday. The magnificent play of colours in the dome takes visitors into a magical world. Space and time take on a new meaning in Skyspace. During the guided tours, visitors receive interesting information about the artist, the creation of the art installation and a breathtaking light show.

Directions

From the mountain station of the Lech-Oberlech mountain railway, follow the winter hiking trail uphill to Oberlech. The trail leads past the Burg Hotel in the direction of Oberlech. After about 5-10 minutes you will reach Hotel Mohnenfluh via Grubenalpe, on the left-hand side. In Oberlech the path leads uphill past the Schlössle. Follow the road uphill to the left. You will pass the Gaisbühell cross-country skiing trail. After a few minutes you reach the Skyspace on the right side. You can either go back the same way to the cable car Lech Oberlech and take the gondola into the valley or follow the road in Oberlech at the Schlössle to the left. After a few minutes you reach the bus stop Schlössle Oberlech. The blue local bus Lech takes you back to the centre of Lech.

Public transport

By train to Langen am Arlberg station or St. Anton am Arlberg. From there, buses (No. 91 +92) run regularly to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.
